Baião Digital Commercial Neighborhood is now active with TOMI technology

TOMI implemented the Baião Digital Commercial Neighborhood as part of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). The project is now almost complete and has equipped the municipality with innovative technological solutions, such as TOMIs with Digital Lockers, Infospots, and Smart Benches. In addition, TOMI developed the Baião Marketplace and Mobile Application (App) and installed a Control Room. The goal is to modernize and digitize local commerce, bringing merchants, consumers, and tourists closer together and contributing to the revitalization of the municipality’s economy. The most notable equipment is the TOMI Lockers. These are already installed and are distinguished by providing information and services in real time, in an interactive, multilingual, inclusive, and accessible way. They allow users to shop, deliver and collect purchases from the neighborhood, receive universal shipments, and rent drawers to store items. They also allow users to consult local businesses, events, and activities in the municipality, as well as access useful content such as transportation, mobility, and information of public interest. All available 24 hours a day. This equipment is complemented by additional solutions that enhance the user experience and integrated management of the neighborhood. Smart benches and digital lockers provide greater comfort and convenience, while the Control Room ensures centralized management of devices and platforms. This room also enables real-time analysis of audience, interaction, and transaction data, supporting decision-making and strategic communication. The Baião Digital Commercial District will also feature Infospots, which will complement this digital network with new features such as notifications and alerts, promotional campaigns, and multimedia content dissemination. In the digital sphere, TOMI has developed the Baião Marketplace, an online showcase for local products and services, also accessible through the App, which allows users to receive programmed and geolocalized alerts, access the Marketplace, access to neighborhood news and events, access to a list of points of interest in the neighborhood, viewing itineraries and collections, virtual tours, and saving points of interest as favorites and/or visited. In addition, TOMI’s Marketplace is available 24 hours a day, accessible, inclusive, and multilingual, allowing purchases or reservations at any time. With the Baião Digital Commercial Neighborhood, the municipality is taking an important step towards modernizing its commerce and boosting the local economy. TOMI is implementing the Coimbra Digital Commercial Neighborhood

TOMI won the tenders for the implementation of the Coimbra Digital Commercial Neighborhood, under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). The project, already in the development phase, combines the installation of innovative digital equipment with new online platforms. The goal is to modernize local commerce, bring merchants and consumers closer together, and enhance the city’s attractiveness. Among the equipment developed by TOMI, a network of 10 (ten) TOMIs stands out, providing ideal distribution to ensure availability throughout the neighborhood. TOMIs provide real-time information in an accessible, multilingual, and interactive way. They promote local commerce, publicize events, share local news, and support urban mobility. In addition, they offer several additional features: they allow users to take photos and GIFs, complete questionnaires through TOMI Survey, access itineraries and thematic collections about the city, and collect, classify, and provide individual and correlated audience and interaction data through TOMI Analytics, among others. The project also includes digital benches, interactive children’s tables, digital lockers, and environmental sensors. This equipment complements the TOMIs, offering convenience, entertainment, and more efficient communication for users and neighborhood management. In the digital realm, TOMI has developed the Coimbra Marketplace, which is already active and serves as an online showcase for local products and services. In addition, it also brings together news and events from the city. TOMI also offers a 24-hour, accessible, multilingual Marketplace, allowing purchases or reservations to be made at any time, without any barriers. TOMI will also provide a technological management platform, aggregator, and multilevel, available for neighborhood management and merchants, which allows for the consultation and management of content, equipment, and applications. TOMI was present at the 15th ITS European Congress in Lisbon

From May 22nd to 24th, TOMI was present at ITS: The Game changer event at Centro de Congressos de Lisboa. TOMI was present at IMT- Institute of Mobility and Transport stand, presenting to the visitors the event agenda, specialty news and custom frames. In the transport module it was possible to demonstrate the various means of transport, such as metro, bus, train, bicycle, boat, pedestrian routes, always showing the distance, time and prices. The ITS European Congress, organized by ERTICO, in close collaboration with the European Commission and with the city of Lisbon as host, focuses on transportation and intelligent mobility, as well as sharing the latest innovations and solutions for the future of the mobility area. The event featured more than 100 sessions and workshops where participants could attend a variety of debates with renowned speakers, as well as listen to leaders from industry and experts from academia. In addition to the plenary sessions, visitors were able to explore the 80 exhibitors from companies in the field, who presented their solutions and innovations that allow citizens to take greater advantage of the transports network, with greater safety, and less impact on the environment. These seven years were full of good memories and experiences, always offering citizens the best information and the entire cultural agenda of the city! In these 7 years, there have been more than 14 million user actions in the TOMI Rio de Janeiro network, in which the Agenda Module was the most used. During these 7 years, more than 1.2 million photos and gifs were taken and sent by email on TOMIs! Rio de Janeiro has 26 TOMIs installed in the neighbourhoods of Copacabana, Leme, Leblon, Centro, São Conrado, Barra da Tijuca, and Recreio dos Bandeirantes. TOMI has provided useful information through its four main modules: in the News module: people were able to get the latest news that was happening in the city; the Events module kept them informed of all the cultural events that were taking place; Search module helped to find multiple points of interest, where users can find places to eat, to sleep, to shop, and what to visit; Transports Module helped citizens to search for different transport options, always providing the distance, costs involved, and schedules. As part of an agreement between TOMI WORLD and DTPM (Department of Metropolitan Public Transport), TOMI presents a highly innovative project in the area of smart mobility, elevating Santiago do Chile to a city with a unique experience of countless advantages for residents. In the metropolitan area of Santiago do Chile, TOMI is the protagonist of the innovation of smart bus stops, where information, technology, and leisure are seamlessly integrated. DTPM services are incorporated into TOMI, providing timetables for public transport, with the novelty/ innovation of the existence of modern buses equipped with anti-covid19 technologies, the waiting time as well as the possibility of charging the public transport pass. TOMI will also provide Wi-Fi for passengers, and appealing media content so that they can have a better quality of waiting time for each bus.
