TOMI arrived in Rio de Janeiro in May 2016 out of a partnership between TOMI Brasil and the Orla Rio Company. Therefore, 26 devices are installed in various neighbours such as the Copacabana, Leme, Leblon, Centro, São Conrado, Barra da Tijuca and Recreios dos Bandeirantes. This was a private investment – which did not have any costs to the Brazilian public entities.
