The InovaCidade award is recognition by the Smart City Business America Institute for initiatives that contribute to improving quality of life in cities.
The InovaCidade award recognized TOMI's work in making Rio de Janeiro a smarter city by helping to improve its functioning and promoting people's quality of life. TOMI has been expanding throughout the city to various neighbourhoods, and the number of interactions continues to grow: in 2017, there were more than 6 million interactions and more than 515,000 photos sent.
The Smart City Business America Congress & Expo (also referred to as “Smart City Business America”) is a congress and exhibition linked to the “smart cities” ecosystem in Latin America.
Promote the transformation of cities through technology, urban innovation, and collaboration between the public and private sectors.
To serve as a platform for presenting smart solutions to urban challenges: mobility, energy, connectivity, infrastructure, sustainability.
To make it easier for municipalities to find suppliers and partners, and for companies to present their innovative solutions.
To showcase best practices, foster debate, and encourage the adoption of solutions that make cities more efficient, connected, and sustainable.
