TOMI won the tenders for the implementation of Nazaré’s Digital Commercial Neighborhood, under the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR). The project, which is already under development, will equip the municipality with innovative technological solutions—such as TOMIs, Infospots, Control Room, and Digital Lockers—and create new digital platforms, including a Marketplace, Website, and mobile application (App). The goal is to modernize and digitize local commerce, strengthening the connection between merchants, consumers, and tourists, contributing to the revitalization of the municipality’s economy.
The Nazaré Digital Commercial Neighborhood will feature equipment developed by TOMI: TOMIs and Infospots. TOMIs are distinguished by their ability to provide useful information and services in real time, 24/7, in an interactive, multilingual, inclusive, and accessible manner, promoting and providing access to local businesses, publicizing neighborhood events and activities, and promoting local mobility. Infospots offer new features, such as public transport timetables and routes, parking availability and directions to find parking spaces, warnings and alerts, destination suggestions, and multimedia content, including videos, promotional campaigns, and cultural initiatives. These panels are also multilingual, accessible, and inclusive and, like TOMIs, include cameras and TOMI’s proprietary technology, which allows them to detect, count, and classify people and vehicles, generating real-time data that enables them to communicate programmatically and manually in a timely, effective, and consistent manner.
This equipment will be complemented by a control room for centralized management of devices and technological platforms, as well as for viewing and consulting audience data, interaction, promotion, transactions, orders, reservations, and much more, in a direct and correlated manner, in accordance with the strategy defined by Bairro Management. Digital lockers will also be installed, allowing for practical and secure delivery and collection of orders within the neighborhood’s commercial ecosystem.
At the same time, TOMI is developing three digital platforms for Nazaré’s Digital Commercial Neighborhood, namely: the Nazaré Marketplace, an online showcase for local businesses that allows users to purchase products and services; a website, which will bring together news, events, and points of interest in Nazaré; and a mobile application (App), which will allow greater proximity between merchants, residents, and tourists. TOMI’s also offers a 24-hour, accessible, and multilingual Marketplace, allowing purchases or reservations at any time of the day.
The equipment is currently being installed and the digital platforms are in the final stages of development.
Nazaré’s Digital Commercial Neighborhood represents an important step towards the modernization of local commerce, boosting the council’s economy and reinforcing Nazaré as a tourist destination of excellence.
With this initiative, TOMI reaffirms its commitment to contributing to the digital transformation of territories, offering solutions that unite technology, commerce, and community.
